Nicola Neri, a researcher at INFN Milano, has won a grant of about 2MEuro from the European Research Council (ERC Consolidator Grant) with his project SELDOM (Search for the electric dipole moment of strange and charm baryons at LHC), a new experimental method to investigate the asymmetry between matter and antimatter by detecting the possible existence of an electric dipole moment in heavy baryons, using the LHCb detector at CERN.
