From 15 to 30 January 2026, Villa Litta (Affori) will host the exhibition “Atoms of Imagination. Young Talents Creating Science”, organized as part of the Art&Science across Italy project, promoted by INFN and CERN in collaboration with Italian universities. The project aims to bring young people closer to the STEAM world (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) through the language of art.
The exhibition, with free admission, is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and is part of a series of 16 exhibitions taking place in as many Italian cities within the 2024–2026 edition of the project.
The Milan event involved 350 students from 8 schools, presenting 50 artworks inspired by scientific themes ranging from physics to biology, created following a programme of meetings and seminars with researchers.
The award-winning works will be featured in the national exhibition and competition, scheduled to take place in Naples at the Church of San Rocco from 8 to 24 May 2026. The 30 winners will receive a scholarship to attend a one-week masterclass on the relationship between art and science at INFN laboratories or at CERN.
