CERN’s longest-running experimental facility, ISOLDE, celebrates the production of its first radioactive beam 50 years ago

On October 16, 1967 ISOLDE laboratory at CERN produced its first nuclear radioactive beam.
The 50 anniversary of this great achievement will be celebrated on Monday 16, 2017 with an event that will
be broadcasted live on the dedicated Facebook page. Various interesting  material on the history of ISOLDE, which is the longest running experiment at CERN,will be published on the same day on CERN website.
